42-hour work week

The maximum legal work week dropped from 44 to 42 hours (Law 2101 of 2021), with no salary reduction. Payroll, shifts and overtime must be adjusted.

Higher Sunday and holiday surcharge

Work on Sundays and holidays is now paid with a 90% surcharge, rising to 100% in July 2027. Night work starts at 7:00 p.m.
